On Tuesday 14th February at 10:30, we will be visited by three ‘bomb-squad dogs’ who, together with their police handlers, will put on a ‘dog show’ in front of the Ocean Tank.

If you visit Café Plankton after 17.00 during the holiday, you will get a voucher with your evening meal. This voucher gives you access to our unique “behind the scenes” tour.

Activity programme

Join us at the National Aquarium Denmark this February half-term for an underwater journey, and get up close to pre-historic giants. Listen to tales from our wonderful storytellers at talks and feeding times, and experience the fun sea otters, the coral reef, the four million litres of water in the Ocean Tank and much more.

Creepy crawlies and secrets on the jungle trail

In weeks 7 and 8, we’ll be taking a closer look at our amazing rainforest, as every day we show you our multi-legged animals from our creepy crawly cart. Get up close to giant centipedes, bird spiders and insects that creep, crawl and jump. Feel the sharp teeth of a piranha fish and try a roasted insect if you dare!
In the evening, we’ll switch on our torches and our storytellers will take you on a walk along the jungle trail. See if you can spot the sloths, lizards and birds as you listen to the fascinating stories about the many exciting animals hiding in the forest.

Children’s theatre, drawing workshop and feeding times

Get creative in our drawing workshop this holiday. We also have a daily children’s theatre show for younger children. You can also watch us feed the piranhas, hammerhead sharks, rays and other creatures in the ocean tank, and of course our sea otters – Agnes, Mojoe, Riggs and Dixon.

What would you look like if you were an exotic sea creature? Find out and get your face painted by our talented face painters. This will be an additional cost.

Special exhibition: Once upon a sea

Long before humans roamed the earth, the ocean was teeming with life; from giant sea lizards to bizarre creatures that look nothing like the animals we know today. The special exhibition “Once upon a sea” brings you up close to the pre-historic giants of the past in the form of 10 full-size models of the most spectacular sea creatures that ever lived.
