Carnival 🐈⬛
Join us when we kick off the winter holiday with our carnival celebration.
Sunday, February 11th at 1:00 PM.
There will be prizes and carnival crowns in genuine goldfish colors for the carnival king and queen, as well as free candy bags for all participants. 🍬
Put on your best costume and come help us break the barrel. 🐟
👉 *Free entry for costumed children: 1 paying adult or annual pass holder can bring 1 costumed child for free (ages 3-11).
Children under 3 always enter Den Blå Planet National Aquarium Denmark for free.
Mermaid Shows 🧜
Dive into an enchanting world beneath the sea, where fantasy and reality merge as our mermaid takes over the Ocean Tank. Among hammerhead sharks, stingrays, and yellow horse mackerels, the mermaid captivates guests of all ages as she gracefully dances on the seabed to music.
The show starts in front of the Ocean Tank at 2:00 PM. Arrive early.
The show itself lasts about 10 minutes. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to meet the mermaid and take a photo with her at the Tropical Touch Pool at 2:30 PM.

Children’s Theater and Lantern Workshop 🏮
Our mascot Plaske never really listens to what the storytellers say. It prefers making lanterns in the creative workshop to children’s theater. But be ready at the Bird Cliff at 11:00 AM (aquarium 12) and see if our storytellers still manage to capture the lively sea otter, Plaske. (There’s no children’s theater on February 11th due to our carnival party).
You can decorate your own lantern throughout the opening hours in our auditorium.
Mini Tour 🪸
Go behind the scenes as we invite you for a sneak peek with one of our talented storytellers. Takes place every day during the winter holiday at 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM. Den Blå Planet National Aquarium Denmark is Northern Europe’s largest aquarium, hiding a sea of life – even behind closed doors.
Half Price from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM 🎟
If you buy your ticket online for our 7:00 PM timeslot, it’s only 104 DKK. That’s half the regular adult price.
