The atlas of Danish saltwater fish is a beautiful and useful reference book containing every fish species living in Danish waters. Throughout the year, snorkelers from the National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet register fish species, counting how many there are of each species in the waters around the aquarium and thereby contributing to the overall picture.
Knowledge about the fish living in our seas and along our coasts is necessary in order to manage Denmark’s natural environment properly. Information about the current state of the Danish fish fauna is also invaluable for assessing in future the effects of climate change on the Danish natural environment.
