CEO Jon Diderichsen was ready at the entrance to surprise guest number 6 million with a gift and annual passes for the whole family. It was the Field family from Ringsted who were the lucky ones to walk through the entrance as guest number 6,000,000, 6,000,001, 6,000,002, and 6,000,003.
Jamie and Jake, ages 5 and 6, had big eyes when they received two octopus plush toys the size of themselves as a gift. Later in the day, the family had a special experience when they assisted with feeding the sharks, fish and stingrays in The Ocean Tank.
This significant milestone is a reminder of the support we have received from local and international visitors since our opening in 2013.
“It’s a special day for all of us here at Den Blå Planet, National Aquarium Denmark. We are very grateful to have had 6 million visitors. It’s equivalent to the current population of Denmark,” said CEO Jon Diderichsen.
