Beneath the ocean’s surface, you’ll find some of nature’s most curious creatures. Throughout the winter holiday (weeks 7 + 8), we invite you to explore animals that can change colour, regrow limbs, or find their way without using their eyes.

Winter Holiday Experiences

🔍 Go on a hunt for ten curious creatures around the aquarium and solve fun challenges along the way.

🎭 In the creative workshop, you can make your own Fastelavn mask and transform yourself into, for example, an axolotl or an octopus. (11 am–2 pm)

🐈‍⬛ Remember to visit us for Fastelavn on 15 February, the traditional Danish children’s carnival, where children dress up in costumes and take part in the classic barrel-beating game. We hand out goodie bags and prizes. The barrel beating takes place outside at 11 am and again at 1 pm, and participation is free once admission to Den Blå Planet, has been paid.

🦴 We open the doors to our teaching rooms on the 1st floor and take a closer look at some of the curious skeletons and objects hidden in the cupboards.

Evening Ticket for DKK 99

When darkness falls, you can stroll through the aquarium at your own pace. There will be live talks at the coral reef, where you can sit back and experience the impressive aquarium before we open backstage and offer a glimpse into, among other things, our “coral kindergarten”.

How to secure evening tickets:

  1. The ticket must be purchased online
  2. Choose the 19:00 time slot
  3. Pay only DKK 99 – same price for children and adults!

Please note: The ticket is only valid on the date and within the time slot selected at purchase.
