These terms and conditions apply to products sold via the website of the National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet, unless otherwise indicated on the website in question, agreed to in writing or resulting from compulsory legislation. The term “products” includes admission tickets, season passes and gift vouchers as well as all types of physical products and other services, including discount vouchers and similar. You must be at least 18 years old to make a purchase from the National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet. When purchasing a product from the website of the National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet, you confirm that you are 18 years old or older. You also accept the terms and policies of the National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet, including terms concerning intellectual property rights and the privacy policy.
Orders and delivery
Orders are placed online via the website of the National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet. Orders may not be placed by telephone unless this is specifically stated for the product in question. When placing an order, you must provide your name, email address and payment information, which will be treated in accordance with the National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet’s privacy policy. After placing an order and making a payment, an order confirmation will be sent to you by email. Tickets, season passes and gift vouchers are sent by email – normally within 10 minutes. The National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet cannot be held liable for errors or delays in delivery caused by technical problems on the purchaser’s end or errors in the email address stated by the purchaser. The purchaser is liable for any misuse of online tickets.
Special terms regarding admission tickets, season passes and gift vouchers
There is no right of cancellation on purchases of admission tickets, season passes and gift vouchers in accordance with paragraph 17 of the Danish Consumer Contracts Act (Act no. 1457). The National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet emphasises that the purchaser bears the full risk for ensuring that the name and email address provided are correct. Purchased season passes must be exchanged for a personal season pass within one year of the date of purchase. Gift vouchers are valid for three years from the date of purchase. A gift voucher may not be exchanged for cash; however, a gift voucher may be redeemed at the Ticket counter, in the museum shop and in our Café. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to check that the admission tickets, season pass or gift voucher issued correspond to what they ordered and paid for. In case of any discrepancy, you must contact the National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet as soon as possible.
Other products
When you make an online purchase, you have the right, as a consumer, to a cooling-off period of 14 days in accordance with Danish legislation. The cooling-off period commences from the date of receipt of the product. To make use of your right of cancellation, purchased products must be returned to the National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet within 14 days. There is no right of cancellation on admission tickets, season passes and gift vouchers in accordance with paragraph 17 of the Danish Consumer Contracts Act (Act no. 1457).
Redeeming admission tickets and season passes (Blue cards and VIP cards)
- When purchasing an admission ticket, you may choose to either print the ticket and bring it with you or show the ticket on your smartphone at the entrance. The National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet cannot be held liable for printing errors or if the admission ticket does not work on a smartphone. If the admission ticket does not work, it is the responsibility of the purchaser to contact an employee at the National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet. Once the admission ticket has been scanned correctly at the entrance to the National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet, it cannot be used again.
- When purchasing a season pass (Blue cards and VIP cards), you may choose to either print the ticket and bring it with you or show the ticket on your smartphone. The National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet cannot be held liable for printing errors or if a smartphone cannot display the ticket. A purchased season pass must be exchanged for a personal season pass within one year of the date of purchase. You must contact the Ticket counter on your first visit to exchange the ticket for a personal season pass.
Information about and renewal of season passes
When purchasing a season pass, you give permission for the National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet to contact you by email regarding the expiry date, options for renewal etc. prior to the expiry of the season pass. You also accept other communication by email regarding use of the season pass and other types of service information relating to the season pass.
If you have signed up for auto-renewal of your season pass and would like to cancel your subscription, you must send an email to lga@denblaaplanet.dk.
Limitation of liability and reservations
The National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. An email will be sent to you, as a past purchaser, if there are any amendments that may have a significant impact on you. The current terms and conditions shall always be available on the website of the National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet. The National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet cannot be held liable for any typing errors or misprints on the website.
The National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet is not responsible for misprints, changes to fees and currency exchange rates, technical errors, image errors or typos on the National Aquarium Denmark webshop.
Payment and security
Payment can be made with the following cards: Dankort, VISA/Dankort, Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, MasterCard Debit, Maestro, American Express, Diners/Discover and JCB.
Credit card transactions take place on a separate secure server with full encryption of all credit card information. The National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet collaborates with EPAY on the provision of a secure payment solution. This solution complies with all NETS requirements for secure payment solutions. Your credit card information will not be shared with any other companies, organisations or third parties.
Fees for payment cards:
Commercial cards, issued within or outside of EU/EØS and private cards issued outside EU/EØS, will be surcharged with a fee, which will be shown on your receipt.
The fee rate may vary depending on the type of card and the country of origin.
Handling of personal data / privacy policy
In order to be able to recognise your information on your next visit to our webshop, a cookie is placed on your computer. This cookie is also used to track your shopping cart, as well as for statistical purposes. Any personal data is subject to confidentiality by the National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet and will not be shared with any third parties.
Force Majeure
In case of a force majeure event, the National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet webshop’s obligations will be suspended. If the duration of the force majeure event is longer than two months, both you and the National Aquarium Denmark webshop have the right to annul the agreement. Force majeure events include but are not limited to strike, sickness among staff, transport disruptions and import/export embargoes, regardless of whether they affect the company or the company’s suppliers.
Conflict of laws and disputes
Purchases made via the National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet that are covered by the above terms and conditions are subject to Danish law. When using the website, you accept that any disputes between yourself and the National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet regarding the above terms and conditions must be decided in the Danish courts in accordance with Danish law.
