Hang on!

The yellowspoted hypostomus lives in fast-flowing waters. It sucks onto the rocks in the river with its mouth. This enables it to ‘graze’ on the smooth surfaces without being pulled down the river.

Algae eater

The yellowspoted hypostomus eats algae on rocks and other surfaces. We use them in this aquarium to keep it clean and to keep algae growth down.
