Pregnant fish

The male's anal fin becomes a small, movable tube that the male inserts into the female when it is time for the eggs to be fertilised. When the offspring are born, they are so large in size that they can take care of themselves.

Little helper

Our metallic livebearer are very productive and we have a great many of them. They help our aquarists to keep the aquarium clean by eating the algae on the rocks. If you look carefully, you can probably see them eating algae right now.
