Behind the scenes

A behind-the-scenes group tour is a surprising and personal aquarium visit. So in-depth, you’ll be gasping for breath.

The National Aquarium Denmark – Den Blå Planet is the most modern and spectacular aquarium in Northern Europe. The aquarium is situated on the Øresund coast, where it sparkles in the sun like a fossil from the future. Look beyond the aquarium glass, explore the basement and passages filled with technical installations and step out onto the feeding bridges. A seasoned storyteller will guide you through the labyrinthine aquatic world, where the young and new arrivals live out of the limelight.

The exhibition itself occupies an area of 5,000 sq.m. – but behind the aquariums, the passages with technical installations and quarantine pools occupy just as much space. This tour will reveal the other half of the National Aquarium’s sunken treasure.
